Written as a series of around ten short one page poems I wrote one night many years ago when I was feeling quite angry and bitter and upset indeed.

Trigger warnings: much violence, blood.

Cut deep and do not hesitate
cut deep, red ribbons in the landscape of my flesh
the hills and valleys eroded down by your blade
Cut deep and do not hesitate
cut deep and sculpt me
turn me into a piece of art
and perfect me
turn me into a piece of art
and exploit me
turn me into a piece of art
and put all your pain and hate and rage and guilt and shame and corruption and cold and all sadness in me and turn me into everything you despise about yourself and this foul world

Cut deep and do not hesitate
beat me into shape with fists and canes and glass bottles
turn me into a piece of art in your image
let me be your image
let me be your mirror
then shatter me
and be on your way
and leave me there despised and broken
(like you)
